1. Scope of Services

Knowlab provides accounting, compliance, business advisory, and professional training services to businesses, organisations, and individuals.

The scope, terms, and deliverables of any engagement shall be governed exclusively by a written engagement letter, proposal, quotation, or service agreement accepted by both Knowlab and the client.

Descriptions of services on this website are provided for general information only and do not constitute a binding offer of services. Knowlab reserves the right to accept or decline any engagement at its discretion.

Clients should not rely solely on information published on this website when making financial, business, tax, or compliance decisions and should seek professional advice specific to their circumstances.

2. Fees and Payment Terms

Fees for services provided by Knowlab will be detailed in the applicable quotation, engagement letter, service agreement, or invoice.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Invoices are payable immediately upon issue.
  • A deposit or retainer may be required before work commences.
  • All fees are quoted in Mauritian Rupees (MUR) and are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
  • Knowlab reserves the right to charge interest of up to 2% per month on overdue balances.
  • Knowlab may suspend or withhold services where invoices remain unpaid beyond the agreed payment terms.
  • Any dispute relating to an invoice must be raised in writing within seven (7) days of receipt. Failure to dispute an invoice within this period constitutes acceptance of the amount due.

3. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Knowlab's liability arising from the provision of services or the use of this website shall be limited to the total fees paid by the client in respect of the engagement giving rise to the claim.

Knowlab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive loss or damage, including loss of profits, business interruption, loss of data, loss of opportunity, or loss of goodwill.

Knowlab shall not be responsible for any loss resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or late information supplied by a client or third party.

4. Intellectual Property

All content available on this website, including text, graphics, logos, designs, documents, and other materials, remains the property of Knowlab unless otherwise stated.

No content may be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, or used without prior written permission.

Any work product specifically prepared for a client under a paid engagement shall become the property of the client upon full settlement of all fees due, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Confidentiality

Knowlab is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of client information and will not disclose confidential information to third parties except:

  • With the client's consent;
  • Where disclosure is required by law, regulation, court order, or competent authority; or
  • Where disclosure is necessary for the provision of agreed services.

Clients are expected to treat Knowlab's proprietary methodologies, templates, pricing information, and internal processes as confidential.

6. Data Protection and Privacy

Knowlab collects and processes personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2017 of Mauritius.

Personal information submitted through this website may include your name, email address, telephone number, company name, and details relating to your enquiry. This information is collected solely for the purpose of responding to enquiries, providing requested services, managing client relationships, and complying with legal or regulatory obligations.

Knowlab does not sell, rent, or disclose personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by applicable laws, regulations, and professional record-keeping obligations.

7. Training Services

Knowlab provides professional training programmes and workshops in compliance with MQA requirements for organisations and individuals.

Participation in a training programme does not guarantee the achievement of any qualification, certification, employment opportunity, or specific business outcome.

Training content may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in legislation, industry practices, or organisational requirements.

8. Acceptable Use of This Website

Users agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information;
